Combating Anglo-Saxon Casino Journalism

Today's scandal featuring MSNBC's and Al-Reuters's publishing of the Yes Men's fake Chamber of Commerce press release is further proof of the free market's failure to provide adequate discipline to address shoddy industry practices. Given the universal agreement of the importance of the press, and the historic aberrations which have continued to allow it to operate in a completely "Laissez-Faire" environment much like a carnival midway, it is far past time we consider reasonable regulations ensuring that the public is not unduly deceived by this industry's output.

To that end, I propose a simple label, to be displayed onscreen or at the top right corner of the first page of the paper, or each section, as each publisher may wish:
